A man was tonight being held after police launched a rape investigation.
The suspect, aged 30, was arrested today after officers were called to West Way in Botley, Oxford shortly after 10.30am.
Two marked police cars and a forensic van were parked in the road throughout the day and forensic officers were at the scene for seven hours.
Officers declined to comment and neighbours were also kept in the dark.
Neighbour Lucy Jackson, 23, said she was shocked to hear a rape investigation was being carried out. She said: "Police cars have been outside all day. It's quite scary."
