Motorists are having to divert around an Oxfordshire town because of heavy flooding underneath a busy bridge.
Flood signs are in place at Marsh Lane, Didcot, where a significant amount of water has pooled beneath Marsh Railway Bridge.
District councillor Ian Snowdon said his mother had been forced to drive around the town as the water was too deep for her Ford Fiesta to pass.

He said: “It’s causing long car journeys because it’s impossible for small cars.”
The flooding only appeared this morning because of heavy rainfall overnight, but it has been an ongoing issue for some time.
Cllr Snowdon said “It’s been progressively getting worse. Certainly, for the last year.
“Every person who has lived in Didcot all their lives like me knows why that area is called Marsh Bridge – it floods all the time.
“It was really important the council get the infrastructure in place so that it didn’t flood and it hasn’t for years but now it has.”
