An Oxford takeaway has been given the lowest possible food hygiene rating.
Takeaway shop Oxford Pizza N Grill on Cowley Road was given a zero star food hygiene when inspected on 31 January.
The food safety officer reported the management of food safety required “urgent improvement necessary”, which means the inspector was not confident the food sold or served is “safe to eat”.
The takeaway’s hygienic handling of food requires “major improvement necessary” and “improvement” is necessary for the cleanliness of the building.
Out of Oxford’s 96 takeaways with ratings, 73 have ratings of five and only one has a zero rating.
