A seagull trapped in solar panels had to be rescused by firecrews and a specialist team in Oxford today (March 20).
The bird was stuck on top of a house in Old Marston.
Fire crews from Rewley Rd Fire Station along with the specialist hydraulic platform were alerted to the incident at 1.25pm.
The RSPCA were initially contacted about the bird in distress.
Firefighters used a net to rescue the bird who happily flew off back towards the seaside.
Incident commander Jason Clifford said the seagull looked very relieved to be released and also explained its not just cats stuck up trees that need rescuing.
