A quirky bookstore has become one of the finalists in the running to be named UK independent bookshop of the year.
Mostly Books, in Stert Street, Abingdon, has won the South East regional category for independent bookshop of the year under the British Book Awards.
Sarah Dennis, owner of Mostly Books said: “The results were announced on Thursday (March 16) and we are over the moon.

“We are now one of nine bookshops in the running to be named UK independent bookshop of the year at the British Book Awards in May.”
The British Book Awards are run by The Bookseller, a British magazine reporting news on the publishing industry.
On The Bookseller’s website it says: “The British Book Awards is a celebration of books.
“It affirms, connects and energises the world of reading by showcasing the authors and illustrators who have stirred our hearts and imaginations, and the industry behind the scenes who have brought them to readers.”
