Delays due to temporary traffic lights on a major city route have been caused by repairs for a single customer, the Oxford Mail can reveal.
Three-way temporary traffic lights are currently in place on Botley Road near St Frideswides Church
The road works are causing queues as far back as the A34 with delays reported of around 40 mins at peak times.

This has caused misery for commuters and traders trying to enter and leave Oxford.
A Thames Water spokesperson said: "We responded to a report of no water, on Botley Road in Oxford on Thursday 16 March.
"Our teams are currently on site making the necessary repairs to restore water to the customer and we expect to complete the repair early next week."
Thames Water assured that the customer will be provided with bottled water until the problem is fixed.
The water company has apologised to motorists are being affected by the delays.
The Thames Water spokesperson added: "Three way traffic lights will remain in place until the repair is carried out.
"We are sorry to residents and motorists for any disruption during this time.
“At present, we are not aware of a wider customer impact, but we’d encourage local residents to reach out to us if they are experiencing low pressure or no water.
