The masterplan for a major development of a former US and RAF airbase into over 2000 homes has been revealed.
The Dorchester group have owned the site at Heyford Park since 2009 and gained initial consent for 1,075 homes.
A need for a masterplan arose after allocation in the Cherwell Local Plan 2011 to 2031, in which the site was allocated for 1,600 additional homes taking to total to 2750.

The masterplan comprises a village green, leisure and retail facilities and a new free school.
A statement said: "With considerable development being undertaken in and around Bicester, our project team has paid particular attention to differentiating Heyford Park from neighbouring developments, with a focus on design quality, quality of the living environment and access to amenities.
"As community builders, our approach focuses on providing a wide range of facilities and amenities, creating the foundations for Heyford Park’s reputation as a desirable and forward-thinking destination.
"We have been working closely with the local community as a founding member of the Mid Cherwell Neighbourhood Plan; together with other stakeholders, including Historic England, Cherwell District Council, Oxfordshire County Council and The Local Enterprise Partnership, we have created an innovative new masterplan.
"Heyford Park has considerable heritage significance, both to the local community and to the US Air Force.
"A great emphasis has therefore been placed on not just maintaining the history of the site, but embracing its historical and cultural importance through effective master planning with a new heritage park and our creative city concept."
Homes are currently on sale or up for rent with the group saying "consideration was given to the affordability of homes, with many starter homes delivered in the early stages."
The former United States 1,230-acre airforce base was previously used as vehicle storage and a processing site for nearly 16,000 vehicles.
Developer David Wilson Homes submitted an application in October to build 126 new houses on land at Letchmere Farm, Upper Heyford, in the RAF Upper Heyford Conservation Area.
The proposal stated that 30 per cent of the homes would be affordable, including 25 per cent as first homes.
The former RAF Upper Heyford airbase as a whole is designated as a conservation area, reflecting the role the airbase played in the Cold War years, and includes the distinctive architecture and layouts which arose from that use.
The village of Upper Heyford dates back to at least the pre-Roman period. The village is just east of the river Cherwell.
“Upper” distinguishes it from Lower Heyford which is about 1 mile ‘lower’ downstream along the Cherwell valley.
