A tractor starter motor, a toy gun, and 30 disposable vapes were among the items collected in Wallingford by more than 120 litter pickers on Saturday.
Rubbish was collected over the entirety of the town - as well as Crowmarsh and Brightwell-cum-Sotwell – as part of the event organised by the 1155 charity.
The litter pickers worked from 8am to 1pm and filled 10 large Grundon bins. For their efforts, they were given soup and bread roles at the Comrades Club afterwards.

Organiser Mark Brett said: “A whole genre of people came out from young and old. We had children with their parents as well as retired folk.
“Surprisingly, everyone loved it and felt a sense of wellbeing and a sense of achievement because you have cleared up all the rubbish and you can visibly see something tangible you have done.
“It’s a shame you have to do it every year but it’s one of those things that we find very rewarding. It’s been going for about 10 or 15 years now.”
Town councillor Steve Holder, who helps to support the event, said: “Last year, we found a lot of personal protective equipment because of covid. What has raised its head this year is disposable vapes. We found around 30.”
“I heard from a lot of people who said they didn’t realise they would enjoy it so much. People just enjoy being involved and being part of the community.”
