Here we feature some archive photos of the early 1990s in Oxfordshire.
The decade started with a visit from Princess Diana to Oxfam’s headquarters, and a bomb scare in Queen Street.
Oxford station looked the same in 1990 as it does today, although the cars were different.

Following the bomb scare, shoppers watched as police cordoned off Queen Street after reports of a suspect package.
Most of the road was closed off to the public up to High Street and people gathered at the entrance to The Clarendon Centre to keep a watchful eye.

The city has been subject to a number of bomb scares over the year's including a cordon put in place at Oxford Railway Station in 1991 and July 2005, Culham laboratories, near Abingdon, in January 2007, and a suspect device reported at St Hugh's College in June 2013.
