A jury has been sent out in the case of two teenagers accused of starting a house fire in Oxford by putting a firework through a letterbox.
Jamie Matthews, 19, denies putting a lit rocket through the letterbox of the house in Ramsay Road, Headington, last Halloween, Oxford Crown Court has been told.
Matthews, of Manor Farm Road, Horspath, denies arson with intent to endanger life.
Lewis Colwell, 18, of Downside Road, Risinghurst, denies both arson with intent to endanger life and arson being reckless whether life was endangered.
Earlier the jury heard Colwell telling them he lit the firework while it was in Matthews' hand, and then Matthews put it in the letterbox.
