THE Morse saga went full circle with the launch of prequel, Endeavour.

Starring Shaun Evans as a young Endeavour Morse and Roger Allam as DCI Fred Thursday, it started in 2012 - and ends now, with teh screening of the final ever episode.

The series followed the Inspector Morse series from 1987 to 2000, and Lewis. The episode is called Exeunt.

The whole set of series will, of course, remain to be viewed on ITV's streaming service.

While Morse has made his final appearance on the streets and quads of Oxford, the legacy of the saga remains, attracting many fans of the shows to the city.
