An outdoor heated swimming pool is to receive an upgrade in time for the summer season.
Hinksey Heated Outdoor Pool on Abingdon Road will be relined between March and April due to a £132,000 investment from Oxford City Council.
The pool will be open to the public again by the end of April and the work is being carried out by the council’s leisure partner Fusion Lifestyle.

It was only possible to start the relining of the pool after the worst of the winter weather had passed, as temperatures above 10C were needed.
It will take around three weeks for the swimming pool to reach a swimming temperature of around 27C once the refilling process starts.
Oxford City Council’s cabinet member for leisure and parks said: “A trip to Hinksey outdoor pool is a really popular part of life in Oxford. Swimming is great for your health, and swimming in the sun with friends and family is even better.
“Our investment in the liner and the heat pump means our residents can look forward to many more years of enjoying days by the pool.”
Last year, a heat pump was installed at the site to make the pool more energy efficient.
CEO of Fusion Lifestyle Anthony Cawley said: “We would like to thank Oxford City Council for funding the replacement liner at Hinksey Outdoor Pool.
“This will ensure it is ready for everyone to enjoy both in 2023 and beyond.”
