Burford has been named Oxfordshire’s ‘coolest’ place to live in a new survey.
Naturecan, a health and wellbeing brand, ranked locations on a number of factors including the number of independent shops, the range of cultural events and how ‘Instagrammable’ they were.
Burford is located in West Oxfordshire, close to the Gloucestershire boundary, and is approximately 20 miles west of Oxford.

It is often referred to as the ‘gateway to the Cotswolds.’
Burford was the highest ranked location in Oxfordshire in the survey, coming in at 14th in the UK.
Jericho in Oxford placed second, Woodstock was third and Henley-on-Thames was fourth.

Another factor that was considered was how often the locations were used in films and TV shows.
Burford famously featured in the series Inspector Morse.
Naturecan polled 5,000 people in each county to obtain the results of their survey.
They also monitored the number of likes on Instagram for each location.
