A park was cordoned off by police this morning as jurors in a stabbing trial visited the scene with the judge and barristers.
Three teenagers, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, are accused of the attempted murder of a man in People’s Park, Banbury, on June 11 last year.
Their trial began yesterday, when prosecutor Mark Trafford KC opened the Crown’s case against the youths.
He said the attack on Danils Bogdancevs was ‘as quick as it was ferocious’. Mr Bogdancevs was punched, kicked and stabbed, the jury was told.

The jury was told earlier this week that they would be driven to the People’s Park for a site visit today (Wednesday, March 8).
Earlier this morning, a white coach could be seen outside Oxford Crown Court.
On social media, the police officers who closed the park explained there was ‘nothing to be concerned about’.
“In order to protect the integrity of the trial, and the privacy of the jurors, we would ask that you do not post any photographs that may have been taken,” they said.
The three youths deny attempted murder and wounding with intent. The trial continues.
