A man from Witney has been charged with one count each of assault and strangulation.
Steven Clapton, 55, of Weavers Close, was charged by postal requisition with intentional strangulation and assault by beating.
It follows a police investigation into an incident at an address in Weavers Close on the evening of September 9 last year.

Clapton is due to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on March 16.
