Police arrested a man on suspicion of possessing a firearm without a certificate on Monday evening (February 27) in Oxford.
The man in his fifties was later released with no further action taken.
Police attended Saunders Road, Oxford, after they received reports of an incident of concern for safety.

A resident told the Oxford Mail: “A police dogs van turned up around 8.30pm and shortly afterward there were around a dozen unmarked police cars carrying armed officers.
“At 9pm, I saw two small ambulances and looking down the road I saw four ambulances parked in a row.
“Paramedics were walking up and down Saunders Road wearing vests and carrying helmets.
“They seemed to be unsure what was going on themselves and would not comment on what was happening.
“Most of the vehicles left the scene around midnight.
“The police seemed focused on the alleyway behind the block of flats at the top of Saunders Road.
“I can’t see from my house and police were not willing to let anyone pass.”
