Bicester Town Council will be holding a ‘picnic in the park’ to celebrate His Majesty King Charles’ Coronation.
Taking place on Saturday, May 6, at Garth Park, a large picnic will be hosted with several activities and entertainment alongside the live showing of the coronation.
The council have invited the public to “bring a picnic and join us to celebrate such a monumental event.”

Buckingham Palace announced that His Majesty the King will be crowned at Westminster Abbey on Saturday, May 6.
The Queen consort will be crowned alongside him.
The last time a Queen Consort was crowned was on May 12, 1937, when the coronation of George VI and Queen Elizabeth was held in the Abbey.
The ceremony will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby.
