A dog grooming studio could be opened in Faringdon after plans were submitted to convert a former hair salon.
Elspeth McKenna has applied to turn the Michelle Uzzell hairdressers on London Street into a facility to treat and care dogs.
The application to South Oxfordshire District sees few alterations to the building besides a new hanging sign and two dog grooming stands.
The proposed facility would cater for a maximum of 2 dogs at a time and aims to promote a calming environment for the dogs whilst receiving treatment.
Ms Mckenna is 22 years old and attended Abingdon & Witney College to gain a BTEC Level 3 in Business Management.
She has recently completed her City & Guilds in Dog Grooming and has founded a company to do this – Dapper Dogs of Oxford Ltd.
