A woman from Wantage has captured amazing photos of the Northern lights.
Rachael White decided to walk up Chain Hill and was successful in snapping some great pictures from her camera.
Ms White told the Oxford Mail: “We follow aurora UK on Twitter and saw that there was a high chance of geomagnetic activity tonight, and they would be visible across the UK.
“We live in Wantage, so we chose chain hill as a high point and looked north. Not visible to the naked eye, but through a camera lens on a long exposure you can pick them up mainly on the horizon.”
The pictures were taken on the camera of Ms White’s mobile phone.
She explained: “We were lucky enough to see them in Iceland but being able to drive 5 minutes from our house to see them felt like an opportunity that we just could not miss. We feel very lucky to have seen them!”
