Forgive me for not jumping up and down with joy while juggling olives, but I just cannot get excited about Jamie Oliver's new Italian restaurant venture in George Street, Oxford.
I would be more elated if he went out and treated himself to some new clothes and a haircut than infesting our fine city with his latest idea.
Oxford already has its fair share of Italian food outlets, churning out pizzas, ravioli, spaghetti and meatballs.
Even my local Sainsbury's has a section specialising in Italian dishes, no doubt the result, too, of Mr Oliver's meddling ideas.
I am sorry, Jamie, but not even your name or wife simmering on the back burner is enough for me to visit your new establishment.
The many staff you now employ will have to be paid out of someone else's pocket other than mine.
