I visited the Redbridge recycling centre in Oxford to turn my garden waste into - what?
There were lots of people there, in loads of cars, all doing the same thing.
With the price of fuel going up and pollution from the cars, one has to ask if it is worth making this trip. Some had driven from far away to reach the recycling centre, taking up space on our crowded roads.
Wouldn't it be a good idea to allow a bonfire once a month (when there was no washing in adjacent gardens, obviously)?
People living in Redbridge Hollow light huge bonfires - the smoke is always blowing across Kennington.
