Former city councillor Mick Haines has written a letter about the protest against traffic restrictions in Oxford.
On Saturday I was very pleased to join a demonstration in central Oxford against the LTNs and the bus gates plans being installed.
I handed out loads of leaflets against the proposal. I had a fantastic response for doing it.
In fact, everyone I gave one to agreed with what was stated on the leaflets.

The majority of people in Oxford are against the LTNs and the bus gates because it will damage the businesses and people will be be stuck on the ring roads causing more pollution and longer journeys for people to get to their destinations.
People came from all over the country to support us in Oxford, but I was very disappointed that I didn't see any of our Oxford city councillors there.
I think this is a very important issue - if the LTNs and the bus gates go ahead, it will shut off the city.
