Developers are planning to build 63 new homes within walking distance of Wallingford town centre.
Nicholas King Homes has prepared an outline planning application for the development of the land off Wantage Road currently known as Purely Plants garden centre.
It has carried out a letter drop and community consultations with residents and is set to submit the plans to South Oxfordshire District Council.

The proposed development would feature 25 affordable homes, 0.54 hectares of public open space, and a play area for children.
The new homes would be accessed via the existing road to the garden centre. Both sides of the road would be widened to add footways.
The garden centre generates around 130 to 150 traffic movements per day at peak times, and developers estimate the new homes would add about 30 two-way vehicle trips during this time.
Existing footpaths would join the development to the town centre, and a travel plan outlining further methods of travel will be submitted with the application.
