Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault involving lots of people.
The assault took place yesterday evening (Monday, February 13) on Swinbrook Road, Carterton.
Police said a person in a black 4x4 style vehicle stopped and helped.

Last month a man was hospitalised after being assaulted in an Oxford night club.
The attack took place in Atik in Park End Street, and the victim, a man in his 20s, was involved in an altercation and was punched and kicked while on the floor.
He suffered a fractured eye socket which required hospital treatment before he was discharged.
He was also left with swelling to the face.
