Four people have been arrested after reports of hare coursing.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said yesterday evening (Monday, February 13): “While it’s been a busy evening with a whole host of incidents, officers from South and Vale have tonight attended a report of hare coursing in the Wantage area.
“We’ve arrested four people and seized a car together with four dogs.
“We’ll be dealing with the offenders robustly.”

At the end of last month three men were charged with trespass offences after an incident in Wantage.
Michael Toogood, aged 26, of Warrant Road, Market Drayton, Joseph Smith, aged 38, of Watery Lane, Stourport on Severn and Ben Evans, aged 23, of Radmore Junction, Dorrington, were all been charged via postal requisition with one count each of daytime trespass in pursuit of game and trespass with intent to search for or pursue hares with dogs.
