Smoke engulfed the M40 last night as firefighters tackled a van blaze.
Emergency crews were called to a vehicle fire between Junction 9 (Bicester) and 10 (Cherwell Valley Services) on Saturday evening.
A van, which was being carried on a trailer, was fully alight.

An Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “There was a full northbound closure in place due to flames and smoke across the motorway whilst we extinguished the fire using breathing apparatus and hosereels.”
The cause of the fire is unknown and there were no injuries.

Fire crews from Bicester, Kidlington and Rewley Road attended the scene.
