A 58-year-old man will appear in court today on charges of sexual assault at RAF Brize Norton last year.
Douglas Varney, of Strathmore Close, Carterton, is scheduled to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court today.

Next month will see the sentencing of children’s home abuser Gerald ‘Gerry’ Raffell.
The former soldier, 74, was found guilty in December 2022 of sexual abuse on boys at care homes in Yarnton and near Wallingford in the 1980s.

He appeared for re-trial at Oxford Crown Court on Monday, January 23, and pleaded guilty to two charges of indecent assault.
Judge Maria Lamb bailed him to return for sentencing on February 17.
