House prices in Oxford have gone down by an average of over £7,000 in the month of November, according to figures from the Land Registry.

The latest data from the government department reveals that in November 2022 average house prices in Oxford reached £487,986.

This was down from £494,991 in October, representing a 1.4 per cent decrease. In the last 12 months it has risen by 8.9 per cent.

Despite the fall in prices this month, Oxford is still far above the UK average with a typical property value in the nations reaching £294,910 in November.

In cash terms, the average house price in November was £27,540 higher than a year earlier with house price growth accelerating to 10.3 per cent in November 2022. Prices were down by -0.3 per cent month on month.
