A man has died after an incident on the railway line near Banbury.
And detectives are urgently appealing for information to identify him.
After 6am last Wednesday (January 25), officers were called to the line near Banbury railway station following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
After a search by officers trackside, sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious, but despite extensive enquiries officers have been unable to identify the man and trace his family to inform them of the news.
The man was found wearing blue jeans with a blue belt and blue hooded top, with a navy and light brown jacket, with 'Free Onboard' motif printed on it.

He is a white man with short brown hair believed to be in his late 30's.
Found with the man is a set of keys including a sonic keyring.
Anyone with information, or anyone who is concerned about a person from this area, or recognises the set of keys, is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 91 of 25/01/23.
In November last year a person was hit by a train between Oxford and Banbury.
All lines between the two stations were closed at the time, and all trains taking that route cancelled.
