I refer to the letter from MJ Kiefer, Dogs let in food tents (Oxford Mail, June 3).

I would sooner share the refreshment tent with pet dogs than have them left outside to wander and cause a nuisance.

I have shared my home with many animals, including dogs, for years and never caught anything.

Oh dear! A thought has just crossed my mind.

I assume the tents in question were on the Blenheim parkland.

Can you imagine what horrors the cows, sheep and rabbits deposited on that grass before the tents were erected?
