SIMON WILLIAMS, 40, of Crosby Road South, Liverpool, pleaded guilty to driving a DAF cement mixer lorry on the A34 near Botley while over the drug-driving limit for cocaine derivative benzoylecgonine. He was given 180 hours of unpaid work, disqualified from driving for three years and ordered to pay £170 in costs and surcharge.

PARAIS CARTER-BROWNLEE, 34, of Lambhay Street, Plymouth, pleaded guilty to driving a Skoda Octavia on Howes Lane, Bicester, while over the limit for drugs cocaine, benzoylecgonine and cannabis. The driver was fined £120, banned from driving for a year and ordered to pay £98 in costs and surcharge.

TOM MCDONAGH, 20, of Travellers Way, Hounslow, was convicted of stealing tanning beauty products worth £1,411 from Sainsbury’s at Heyford Hill in Oxford. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £133 in costs and surcharge.

EDWARD BUTLER, 48, of Channings Wood, Newton Abbot, pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm to a man from whose Mercedes van he stole tools ‘of a value unknown’ in November 2021. He was jailed for six months and ordered to pay £100 in compensation.

TOMMY HOLMES, 21, of Saunders Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to offences of using threatening and disorderly behaviour in Oxford last June. He was given 100 hours of unpaid work and a six month alcohol rehabilitation treatment requirement and up to 25 rehabilitation activity requirement days.

CHRISTOPHER CURTIS, 39, of Walton Street, Oxford, admitted burgling a house in Brampton Close, Abingdon, and stealing bottles of perfume. He received a community order with an alcohol treatment requirement and must pay £20 in compensation. The judge ordered he pay £170 in costs and surcharge.

TOMMY HOLMES, 21, of Saunders Road, Oxford, admitted disorderly behaviour and common assault of a police constable in Cowley. He was ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid work, complete a six month alcohol treatment requirement and pay £50 in compensation to the officer.

JOANNE WAY, 49, of Helleborine Close, Oxford, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer by beating her on Park End Street in October. Way was ordered to pay £250 in compensation and complete up to 25 rehabilitation activity sessions with the probation service, as well as the thinking skills programme.

PAUL GODFREY, 43, of Tyrrells Way, Sutton Courtenay, admitted handling stolen goods including parking permits, a thank you card, gift voucher, jewellery, perfume, headphones and a ‘nail set in a brown case’. Godfrey, whose sentence was deferred, received an 18 week jail term suspended for a year, with a six month mental health treatment programme and 19 rehabilitation activity requirement days with probation. He must pay £170 in costs and surcharge.

CAITLINE SLOGGETT, 24, of Hurne Court, Basingstoke, admitted being drunk in charge of a Renault Clio on the A34. The magistrates imposed a six month driving disqualification, £46 fine and £103 in costs and surcharge.

OVINI TUITOGA, 25, of St David Barracks, Bicester, pleaded guilty to drink driving a BMW on the A34 near Oxford. Tests showed Tuitoga had 58mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The magistrates imposed a 16 month driving disqualification, £400 fine and £245 in costs and surcharge.

DAVID BRACKETT, 37, of Armstrong Road, Littlemore, admitted driving a Citroen C4 on Garsington Road, Oxford, while under the influence of cannabis. He was fined £120, disqualified from driving for a year and must pay £133 in costs and surcharge.
