A toddler spent the night in hospital following a collision with a car in a road in Rose Hill, Oxford.
The two-year-old was involved in a collision with a red BMW in Williamson Way at around 6.30pm yesterday.
An ambulance and police were called to the scene and the child was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment.
However, a police spokesman said the youngster was not badly injured and was kept in hospital overnight for observation.
The driver of the car - who was not hurt - was interviewed, but later released without charge. Accident investigators were at the scene until 8.40pm.
An electric firm was also called out to repair some damage to a lamppost in the street.
