DELAYS are expected on a busy road in East Hendred due to emergency road works being carried out today (Wednesday, January 18).
The roadworks are taking place on the A417 travelling eastbound between White Road and Featherbed Lane.
Temporary traffic lights have been reported in two areas of the roads and the AA has reported ‘severe’ delays already by 8am today.

It is unknown what the exact ‘emergency road work’ is being carried out by the AA reports that the construction could be due to water main works.

Oxfordshire County Council's traffic management team, Oxon Travel, has urged drivers to seek an alternative route due to the delays.
On Twitter, it said: “There are delays on the A417 due to emergency road works - please seek an alternative route where possible.”
