Staff at The Mitre inn in High Street, Oxford, organised a series of fundraising events to support handicapped adults.
Waitress Kathy Kennedy is pictured handing over a cheque for £750 to Paul Cullen, head of Daily Hill House at Witney in 1987.
The money went to the hostel’s minibus appeal - so far, £1,850 had been collected towards the £8,000 target.

After the cheque was handed over, Mr Cullen and the residents who accompanied him were invited to stay at the Mitre for supper.
Mr Cullen said: “The Mitre staff are wonderful. When we heard how much they had raised, we were amazed. It is marvellous that they are generous enough to give so much of their time.
“A minibus would be like a family car to us. It would make such a difference.”
