A man remains in hospital following a serious crash at the weekend.

A Volkswagen van driver sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the JR in Oxford following a crash in Ufton Green in West Berkshire on Sunday, January 8.

Another man driving a Mercedes sadly died at the scene.

The head-on collision between the purple VW Caddy van and the Mercedes, which was travelling in the opposite direction, occurred at 12.10am on the A4 Bath Road.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said the injured man remains in hospital in a stable condition.

The investigation is continuing.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the collision or anyone with any footage of the collision or the moments leading up to it to come forward.
