The doors to a new children's centre in the heart of Oxford's Florence Park opened today.
Florence Park Children's Centre replaces a building that had come to the end of its useful life.
Children from nearby Larkrise Primary School opened the £770,000 building by singing songs and unfurling ribbons.
Centre manager Norma Thompson said: "It is a beautiful building people will enjoy coming to and hopefully they will receive a good welcome here.
"The parents and users of Florence Park Family Centre have been very vocal advocates for the centre over many years and its flowering into a children's centre is in no small part due to their constant commitment and support."
