A PENSIONER aged in his 90s had his wallet containing cash stolen by a thief pretending to be collecting money for the deaf.
The incident occurred around midday on Christmas Eve outside the library in Broad Street in Abingdon.
The woman thief approached the victim who was in a car, and asked for money for the deaf. After being handed cash, the thief leaned into the car and took the remaining amount of cash in his wallet.

The woman then ran towards Stert Street. The thief was described as being in her 30s who was wearing dark clothing. She was of slim build and was around 5ft 4inches tall and carrying a sign.
Police are now appealing for anyone with information to contact Thames Valley Police, quoting reference number 43220575750.
