A man has been left in hospital after he was assaulted by five men.
Th incident happened yesterday (December 23) at around 11.45pm on Calthorpe Street in Banbury.
The victim, a man in his thirties, got into an altercation with another man and was subsequently assaulted by five men.

He suffered significant injuries to his face and a suspected fracture to his hand and was taken to hospital.
He remains in hospital at this time.
Investigating officer PC Bethany Foster, based at Banbury police station, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this assault to please come forward to help our investigation.
“If you have any CCTV cameras in the area or were driving there and have a dash-cam, and you haven’t already come forward, please check your recordings in case you captured anything that could aid us and let us know if you have.
