TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and assaulting a person in Bicester.

Thames Valley Police said that at around 12.45pm on December 9, a white Ford Escort Van and a Black Volvo V40 were involved in a road rage incident on the M40 northbound, between junctions 9 and 10.

The cars then collided into the central reservation.

The occupants of the vehicles then started a fight on the carriageway. Both men sustained minor injuries.

A 49-year-old man from Westminster, London and a 30-year-old man from Prescot, Merseyside, have been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm.

They have both been released under investigation.

The police is now appealing for witnesses following the incident.

Investigating officer, PC Craig Ridgley, based at Bicester police station, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or anyone who has dash-cam footage to please come forward.

“Anyone with information can contact police by calling 101 or making a report online, quoting reference 43220553832.

“Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online.”
