I see that the leader of the Green group for Oxford City Council, Craig Simmons, is on his 'eco-friendly' soapbox, giving New Labour and the Lib Dems a pasting with regard to trams in Oxford (Oxford Mail, May 28).
His letter was not so much about promoting green issues in Oxford, but one of making the Lib Dems and New Labour look totally inadequate.
This type of letter should be published just before a local election.
Somebody please tell Mr Simmons - trams have been and gone!
