Witney MP David Cameron has paid tribute to Max Weeden, the 17-year-old who died in flash flooding in the west Oxfordshire town yesterday.
The teenager, also known as Max Sullivan-Webb, of Judds Close, died after becoming trapped in floodwater in Eastfield Road.
Firefighters and paramedics battled to save the teenager, who was rescued along with a second boy.
The second boy, who has not been named, is recovering at home.
Mr Cameron said: "I was shocked and saddened to hear of the death of this 17-year-old boy.
"My thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time."
