Photographers from across Oxfordshire have snapped haunting images of the last full moon of the year.
The December full moon, known as the Cold Moon, rose above the county on Tuesday night (December 7).

The Cold Moon was joined by a guest this year as a brightly illuminated Mars met the moon in the sky before disappearing behind it in what is known as a lunar occultation - then reappearing again.
This moon's name reportedly comes from the Mohawk people who lived in southeastern Canada and northern New York State, reflecting the frigid time of year and the grip of winter.
Of course, given the cold weather alert issued by the Met Office this week for icy temperatures the Cold Moon was an apt celestial occurrence.
Oxford Mail Camera Club members were quick to get snapping and captured some incredibly detailed and haunting images of the moon as it ascended above the Oxfordshire landscape.
