A amateur photographer has released a calendar which celebrates the beauty and variety of British wildlife in Oxfordshire.

Simon Booker, who is from South Stoke, has picked 12 gorgeous images from his 2022 archives for use in the calendar.

Mr Booker suffered a stroke in May and so money raised from the calendar will be donated to the Stroke Association to help support other stroke suffers.

Images included in the 2023 calendar include a ‘dancing’ kestrel, harvest sunset and a fox marching through the snow.

Many of Mr Booker’s photographers were snapped in around South Stoke and so show off the wide variety of animals and landscapes which the county is home to.

“It’s special because all the pictures are quintessentially British wildlife and landscapes from the heart of Oxfordshire , also because each purchase helps somebody who may be afflicted by stroke.

“I had some lucky breaks but many do not and the Stroke Association help people rebuild their lives,” Mr Booker explained.

Mr Booker added: “Nature helps all of us celebrate life, landscapes and the creatures that share this wonderful world with us.

I hope you find the photos inspiring.”

The calendars are available as A3 17" x 11 1/2" (42cm x 30cm) in satin finish with a calendar note space on each page.

£2.50 from each sale of the calendar will go to support the Stroke Association via Work for Good.
