A MAN had to be hospitalised after being attacked by a dog in Didcot.

Thames Valley Police said that at around 11.20am on September 17, an argument between two men in Edmonds Park resulted in one of them being bitten by a dog.

The victim, a man in his fifties, suffered minor injuries and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for further treatment, but he has since been discharged.

The police have now released an image of a man officers believe may have vital information about the incident and are appealing for witnesses.

Investigating officer PC Tarran Golby, based at Abingdon police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who recognises the man pictured in this image to please get in touch.

“If you are the man pictured then please come forward as soon as possible as we believe you may have vital information about this incident.

“Alternatively, you can provide information anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
