Detectives have been given an extra 36 hours to quiz a teenager suspected of murder.
Thames Valley Police applied to Oxford Magistrates’ Court this afternoon for permission to extend the amount of time they have to hold the 18-year-old without charge.
The matter was heard behind closed doors after 4pm this afternoon.

The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a 59-year-old man.
The alleged victim was found in a ‘critical condition’ and with a wound to the head in a park off Wood Farm Road shortly after 6am on Wednesday. He was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital but died later that day.
Yesterday (Wednesday, November 30), senior investigating officer Det Supt Craig Kirby said: “We are in the very early stages of this investigation, which appears to be a targeted attack.”
