Pat Williams clanged off two sixers for Woodman, only to finish up on the losing side as they crashed to a 3-0 defeat against Gladiators in Section 1 of the Greene King Oxford & District League.
Martin Cook top-scored for Glads with a dozen dolls as they took all three legs 27-22, 23-16, 21-18.
Cricketers' Phil Adams hit two sixes for the second time this season as they defeated New Club 3-0.
Adi Shepherd and Alan King both hit a six for New Club in the 35-22, 34-17, 27-23 scoreline.
In Section 2, George B and Tiddington Cricket Club hit the same number of dolls, but it was George who came away victorious.
George edged the opener 23-22 and when Tiddington set 21 in the final, it looked all over for George. However, anchor man Pete Shepherd got the necessary five dolls to clinch victory, despite missing with his first stick.
Alan Holt clanged off 13 dolls as he helped Gardeners Arms beat North Oxford Conservative Club 3-0 in Section 3, in a scoreline of 21-18, 19-18, 24-15.
Section 4 leaders Cowley Workers eased to a 2-1 win at Red Lion Islip. They won the first leg 20-16, but lost the next 16-20.
Workers then set the final leg with 21 which was enough as Lion fell six short.
Chequers A raced to a 2-0 lead away at Quarry Gate taking the legs 20-18, 16-13, but crashed dramatically in the final leg 14-8.
Highfield Club came from behind to beat Red Lion 2-1 In Section 5.
Losing the first leg 19-16, they had to rely on a three-stick shoot-out after tying the leg 16-16 to level.
The final leg proved less tricky as Highfield triumphed 23-14. Trevor Smith and Keith Vickers top scored with ten dolls apiece.
White Hart went down to a 2-1 defeat against Gladiators in Section 8 despite scoring more dolls than their rivals.
After winning the opener 16-12, White Hart lost the next on a three-stick shoot-out after they were locked at 18-18.
Gladiators won he decider by the odd doll 14-13. Jason Coates top-scored for White Hart with 12 dolls.
Brian Lester got Littlemore Rugby Club off to the perfect start in the first two legs against Headington British Legion in Section 9, which they won 17-9, 15-11 with two fives.
He could only muster up a one in the final leg, but they still scrapped though 11-10 to take maximum points.
In Section 6, Dave Matthews hit 14 dolls for Queens Head as they beat Nut Tree 3-0 with scores of 23-9, 16-15, 12-11.
