An 11-year-old boy was left seriously injured after a hit and run crash in Banbury.
The incident happened after an 11-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Highlands at the junction with Hereford Way in Banbury.
The victim suffered a fractured leg and was taken to hospital by ambulance, where he underwent surgery and remains in a stable condition.

The driver failed to stop at the scene, instead driving their vehicle down Sussex Drive.
The incident happened around 12.40pm on Sunday, November 27.
Thames Valley Police have launched an appeal for witnesses to the incident.
No arrests have been made.

Investigating officer PC Jon Simpkins, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this collision, whereby a young boy has sustained serious injuries, to please come forward.
“The boy had just got off the B9 Stagecoach bus before the incident so someone on the bus may have seen what happened.

“Also, if you were driving in the area around the time of the collision and have dash-cam, I’d also ask that you check any recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation.

It's the second hit and run crash in Oxfordshire within the last week. A Deliveroo driver on a moped was struck by a black VW Golf in Union Street of Oxford on Friday, November 25.
