MAX Mosley is to remain in office as president of the FIA after comfortably winning a vote of confidence in his favour.
Following a two-hour discussion during which frank views were exchanged regarding the 68-year-old, Mosley was understood to be delighted after the result was announced at the FIA headquarters in Paris.
There were 103 votes in favour of Mosley, 55 against, with seven abstentions and four null papers.
Mosley hit the headlines a little more than two months ago following lurid revelations into his private life, which were published in the News of the World.
That resulted in today's crisis meeting for Mosley, who has maintained a low profile since the scandal broke and avoided the media again this morning as he took a back route into the FIA headquarters in Paris.
