The Williams F1 team wore black armbands in memory of an apprentice who died in a crash, pictures from the leading Formula One team have shown.
The motor racing team paid tribute to apprentice Daniel Cracknell who died in a motorbike crash the weekend before last.
The 20-year-old prototype and test apprentice’s death was described by the team as “tragic”.
His memory was honoured at Williams F1’s final race of the year in Abu Dhabi, where the team wore black armbands in his memory and Mr Cracknell’s name was proudly emblazoned on the team’s motor.
Such a nice tribute by @WilliamsRacing in memory of Daniel Cracknell who was a prototype and test apprentice at the team. He died following an incident on a motorbike. So incredibly young. pic.twitter.com/qXhIVPTVZl
