MORE than 100 people will meet at the Martyrs' Memorial today to mark the 19th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre in Beijing.
The event has been organised by Amnesty International.
The protesters will gather in St Giles at 6.45pm to lay red roses at the memorial and to take part in a silent vigil to show solidarity with the Tiananmen Mothers - who lost relatives during the crackdown - and support calls for improved human rights for China.
The Red Cross will be collecting at the event for victims of the recent earthquake which has devastated parts of China.
